Ansaldo Energia announces that over the last few days it has completed three different transactions to refinance its debt, with the aim of reducing servicing costs, extending the maturities and providing the company with new financial resources for development.
The first of these operations involved the issue by Ansaldo Energia of a five-year unsecured senior bond worth EUR 350 million, listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange’s Euro MTF Market. The annual coupon has been set at a fixed rate of 2.875%. The placement of the bond issue, which was oversubscribed by more than twice the offering, was managed by Banca IMI, BNP Paribas, Commerzbank, Credit Agricole CIB, HSBC, Santander and Unicredit Bank, as joint bookrunners. Law firms Allen & Overy and Gianni Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners served as legal counsel for this transaction.
The second transaction was the underwriting of a Revolving Credit Facility (RCF) worth a total of EUR 400 million, maturing in five years. The seven banks indicated above were involved in the transaction, together with Standard Chartered Bank, for whom this transaction marks the start of their collaboration with Ansaldo Energia.
The final transaction, another RCF worth EUR 40 million and maturing in five years, involved Ubi Banca.
Law firms Allen & Overy and Clifford Chance served as legal counsel for these last two transactions.
